Find a route to care
What sits behind the word specialist?
When this comes up
A page calls someone a peptide specialist. You want to know who will actually discuss your health with you.
Ask for a full name and professional role. Then look for the record that matches that role. A title in an advert does not tell you who will review your health.
Match the role to an Arizona record
Find an MD doctor's record through Arizona's Medical Board. Look up a DO doctor through Arizona's separate DO board.
Arizona’s Nursing Board links to nursing licence checks and certificates for nurses with advanced training. Physician assistants, often called PAs, have a separate Arizona board.
A nurse practitioner is a nurse with advanced training. Arizona Nursing Board permission is needed for a nurse practitioner to write prescriptions, as of October 3, 2026. The medicine must also fit the nurse's training.
Ask the nurse, 'Does your Nursing Board permission and training cover this medicine for me?' If the answer is unclear, ask the Nursing Board how to check it.
Ask what the health review will cover
- Who will review my health history?
- Can I ask that person questions before a treatment decision?
- How will we discuss other ways to address my concern?
- Who explains a decision to offer no medicine?
Use the answers to compare an in-person clinic with a service that offers care by screen. Ask for a conversation about your concern, not just a menu of products.
